This autumn, military jackets will be in for both men and women. Colours will be green or brown with big bold buttons. Jackets will be cropped and more fitted.

Low-rise and hip-hugging jeans appear to be on the way out. High-waist jeans and trousers are coming back in, with some designers showing jeans that are above the navel and others falling on or just below the navel.

Fur is not popular with everyone, but this autumn it will be making a comeback, with sheepskin being the most popular; try mohair if you don’t want to wear fur. Lace and leather, worn separately or in combination, will also be a hot trend for autumn. They are popular choices for jackets, tops or even leggings. For a sophisticated look that will work at either the office or on a night out choose an item in black.

Plaid is always a popular choice for autumn and this year will be no different, so try a plaid jacket or dress. Glamorous leggings with sequins, sparkles or metallic colours will go well with a lace top. Monochrome clothes in black and white will be another big trend. Choose stripes, polka dots, plaid or just plain black trousers and a white top for the office.

If there is one item that all women should have in their wardrobe this autumn it will be a dress in a fiery red. This season, forget the little black dress and make a stunning entrance in red.

Popular accessories, this autumn, will be beanies in crochet designs, faux fur hats in pink or with cute and funky designs, palm warmers, knee-high socks and elbow length woollen gloves.
