To create an up do you firstly need to pull your hair into a loose pony tail and secure with a band, to hide the band you then need to pull a piece of hair from underneath the pony tail, wrap around the band & secure by lightly misting with ghd ultimate hairspray. Now depending on the thickness of your hair, separate the ponytail into 3-6 sections and lightly mist with ghd creation spray, this will give you longer lasting curls.

With each section place the ghd hair straightener in at the roots, rotate it 180° and slowly glide the it through the hair until reaching the end, then you can catch the hair as it falls and twist it around your finger to increase the curl. You then need to separate and soften the curls, you can do this by running your fingers through them, to create a teardrop shaped hairstyle, gently backcomb the hair at the root area which gives volume. Gently tease the remaining tendrils into shape. To finish off blast with hairspray for a firm hold.

For brunettes changing tone can be very easy, during summer many people opt for a few lighter highlights however as autumn draws in you can go for a more seasonal colour such as more russet and burgundy colours. Darker more seductive tones and more muted colours such as velvet hues add a bit of seduction to your colour. Leave in conditioners are great to add much need moisture to your hair, as well as heat protector products such as ghd thermal protector, which as the name suggests protects you from heat damage whilst styling.

For bouncy stay in place curls the best way to start is to blow dry your hair and as always remember to use a thermal protector spray to protect your hair from the heat, and brush your hair away from your face keeping your hair as voluminous as possible. Before you section off your hair gently mist it with ghd creation spray to help with hold, and then separate your hair into two sections at ear level, clip away top section.

Place your ghd straighteners in at the root of a smaller section of hair, rotate it 180° and gently glide the straightener through the hair until reaching the end, when each section falls loosely twist it around your finger to define the curl. Follow same directions for the top part of your hair and then finish with polishing serum, pulling through each section to separate and define each curl and hold with hairspray.

5. If you want a tighter curl, simply glide the straighteners slower through the hair.
