Celebrities are the first to follow styles and set them this year for a funky alternative why not try a cool alternative to the quiff, the rolled fringe. This style is expected to be big in 2010 and the look has already been seen on sing VV Brown as well as on the catwalk with Moschino, this style is also versatile than you might think.

The look stems from the 1940s and is vintage-inspired and feminine with a dress but can also be a high fashion look made contemporary and edgy with jeans and a t-shirt.

This look is also easy to create and great if you have a long fringe or you are growing your fringe out to start you need to spray a root lifting product like ghd uplift spray into the fringe and keep one hand behind the hair to protect your forehead. You then need to use a large round barrel brush to pull the hair up and around and at the same time use a hairdryer coax the hair into setting in a roll. You can then use some hair spray to set into place, if you have long hair you can then add some extra volume and curls with ghd straighteners to finish of the glam retro look or pin your hair back.
