Known by generations for her style as much as her music Madonna, whom in the past has served as a muse to designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier and posed for campaigns by designers including Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabanna, is now set to design her own clothing range for children.

She will be collaborating with U.S. based Iconix Brand Group to create new venture MG Icon and will be receiving help with designing from her 13 year old daughter Lourdes. The first collection which is to be called ‘Materiel Girl’ will be available in the US and sold at around 200 Macy stores and online. The collection will contain back-to-school apparel, footwear, handbags and jewelry, retailing from $12 to $40.

Iconix Brand Group also own brands such as Ed Hardy and Badgley Mischka and their CEO and Chairman Neil Cole has said “We are excited to announce the first in a series of new brands that will be developed under our partnership with Madonna. We believe that “Material Girl” will be a dynamic exclusive brand for Macy’s, and we look forward to working with Madonna, Lourdes and the Iconix team.”
